Position: Product Manager, Digital Advertising Sales

Description:
Are you a high-energy and super-organized digital product manager with the left brain/right brain chops to balance the ad product needs of advertisers, consumers, and business stakeholders? Have you defined product requirements, generated feature roadmaps, and managed product development projects for a leading digital media or entertainment company? Is your acronym dictionary loaded-up with terms like DFP, VAST, OPA, XML and WAP? Do you have a deep, geek-like love for product analytics and the ability to generate actionable insights?
If so, here’s what you could be doing every day:
-Own the product suite and specifications for display and video advertising products across all MTV Networks digital properties – web and mobile.
-Collect and define product/feature requirements that reflect business objectives for new ad products or enhancements to existing ad products.
-Participate in the development of ad product strategy and roadmaps across all MTV Networks digital properties.
-Drive new product development approval processes with key stakeholders.
-Manage ad product development processes across cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment, and ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and on spec.
-Ensure the quality of our ad products by working with internal technology and site teams to develop QA test cases, participate in QA, and track feature bugs.
-Develop success metrics for each ad product, and follow-up with post-mortem analysis of product hits and misses.
-Perform ongoing analysis of ad product performance and compare to success metrics. Develop actionable insights and recommendations for key stakeholders.
What you bring to the role in your professional toolkit:
-4-5 years consumer-focused digital product development experience, including significant exposure to digital video products.
-Strong technical, creative and business acumen.
-Extensive knowledge of digital adserving and rich media technologies (DFP, Atlas, Eyeblaster, Pointroll, Eyewonder, Unicast, etc).
-Functional understanding of web development and scripting languages (e.g., HTML, XML, Javascript, ActionScript).
-Not afraid to get your hands dirty and do whatever is necessary to get the job done.
-Excellent communication and relationship skills with all levels of executives, management, administrative staff; outstanding presentation & speaking skills.
-Outstanding attention to detail and organizational abilities, ability to troubleshoot and provide guidance and solutions for product development plans.
-Strong interest and knowledge of the digital advertising and digital media industries.
-Proficient in Excel, MS Project, Visio, Photoshop, Flash, PowerPoint, web-centric debugging products.
-Strong desire to work in a fun, dynamic, and surprisingly entrepreneurial environment.
-Bachelor degree.
