MTV Scratch is a collaborative, diverse, cross-functional team, driven by innovation and consumer insights, that fuses original programming and marketing across all platforms to pioneer new creative and business models.

Reporting to the Vice President of MTV Scratch, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting this newly-formed group’s growth through research into potential and existing partners’ businesses. Coordinator will also help shape the department’s marketing efforts, including guiding and maintaining its newly launched website, developing a weekly speaker series and other related activities.


Specific Responsibilities Include:

-Researches prospective and new partners’ businesses, including press, industry reports, competitive analysis, creative and marketing history, consumer insights studies, and other materials.

-Prepares briefing materials based on this research and presents those findings internally.

-Builds presentations to summarize ongoing and completed projects.

-Coordinates group media library in conjunction with Post-Production Coordinator.

-Manages timeline and workflows leading up to partner pitches in conjunction with other Department Coordinators.

-Maintains and updates group website.

-Coordinates weekly speaker series, in coordination with a diverse set of external parties in a variety of fields.

-Supports the VP with additional research, special projects and events, as necessary.


Required Qualifications/Skills:

-2-3 years related experience preferred; particular interest in management consulting background with strong interest in entertainment, media, advertising and/or consumer marketing.

-Strong research and writing skills.

-Excellent organization, multi-tasking, communications and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to work in a high pressure, fast moving, and ever-evolving environment.

-Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of an organization.

-Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues or information.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

-College degree required.
