$200 Million Fund for 50 Cent’s Film Company

50 Cent and partner Randall Emmett’s (Cheetah Vision Films) recently inked a deal with George Furla’s Hedge Fund Film Partners for a 10- picture movie deal to be released via Grindstone Entertainment and Lionsgate Entertainment. Health care and real estate moguls, Richard Jackson, Gary Sakwa and Daniel Ret have undertaken financing for the first 4-5 films with an estimated $20 million per film budget. Emmett speaks to Variety Magazine about 50 Cent and their latest venture, “The thing about 50 Cent is that, just like in his music career, he isn’t someone who sits around and waits for things to get done’…’He came to me and said, ‘How do we move quicker on projects?’ With this new fund, we are able to do that.”

The 10- film series will kick off with the first film “Set Up”, based around a diamond heist, featuring 50 Cent as the lead. Casting for the film is currently underway and shooting is set to begin this November.
