UMG is looking for spring interns for a variety of our departments in the New York Area. UMG is the worldʼs leading music company with wholly owned record operations or licensees in 77 countries. UMGʼs businesses also include Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), the industry’s leading global music publishing operation.

Our internship program is a great way to gain real hands on experience and professional exposure. The internship program is designed to provide motivated and interested students with knowledge of the music entertainment industry. Todayʼs students will become tomorrowʼs leaders, and our goal is to provide these individuals with a meaningful, educational and fun experience!

We offer internships in various departments including (but not limited to): Marketing, Publicity, Advertising, Radio Promotions, Artist and Repertoire (A&R), New Media, Sales, Human Resources, Production, Creative, Soundtracks, Film & TV, Business Development, Finance, Licensing, Publishing, International, and Business & Legal etc.

Qualifications:

Must be enrolled as a full time student (minimum of 9 units/credits a semester).

Must submit resume and include an objective…it will only help us better understand what department you are looking to gain experience in

Exceptional computer, written and verbal communication skills

MS office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook experience preferred

Quark Express, Photoshop, Illustrator and Final Cut Pro experience preferred for creative departments

Must have at least sophomore year standing

Must have verification letter on school letterhead from advisor

Internships are for college credit only

Candidates must be available for interview at location of internship.
