Position: Coordinating Producer

Description:
 MTV News is seeking a Coordinating Producer. The successful incumbent will:

-Manage departmental Shoot-Edit document
-Work with the Supervising Producer to assign producers and writers to shoots and edits
-Coordinate shoots and edits with Production Management team for production issues such as securing locations, post-production facilities and hiring freelance editors and producers
-Build and maintain a database of talented freelance writers and producers from all over the country
-Assume responsibility for scheduling and coordinating all on-air hits.
-Assist in keeping department ahead on long-term planning for pitches, credentials and coverage requests
-Communicate with project-based freelance staff to help communicate editorial and aesthetic needs
-Manage staffing as well as scheduling for daily operations as well as live streams and major events
-Contribute to daily editorial, edits as well as shoots for the department
-Supervise Production Assistants, Media Manager and Equipment Manager

Requirements:
-Minimum 4 years experience in news or entertainment production
-Bachelors Degree in related field
-Knowledge of Avid and Final Cut
