Pharrell and Spike Lee Team Up with American Express for Unstaged

On Tuesday June 3rd, Pharrell Williams will take the stage at the historical Apollo Theater to perform and celebrate his hit album G I R L. To make this occasion even more momentous, Spike Lee is involved which will make the experience more memorable.

The concert which is the 14th installment of the American Express Unstaged series in conjunction with YouTube and Vevo will be directed by Lee, who according to the New York Times was Williams’ choice. When it comes to the collaboration, Spike Lee says, “Pharrell and I have been friends for years, and we’ve talked about working together, and now it’s coming to fruition and I’m happy about that – we both are. I’ve been going to the Apollo since I was 7 or 8 years old. I think it was a great choice by Pharrell to have his concert there.”
