No Doubt and Jay Z to Headline the Global Citizen Festival 2014

This year on September 27, the third annual Global Citizen Festival will take place in NYC at Central Park with the legendary band No Doubt and rapper Jay Z headlining. Again, this year, like every year in the past, the concert will coincide with the United Nations General Assembly meeting.

The concert is a free (yes, we said FREE) ticketed event, so if you want to go now would be the time to claim your tickets. Besides the two headliners, the festival will include sets by Carrie Underwood, The Roots and Tiesto.

Every year the festival has a different goal and this year the focus is on ending extreme poverty by the year 2030. The festival is the most visible event of the Global Citizen movement, so ever attendee and participant matters.

Hugh Evans, CEO of the Global Poverty Project said the following:

We are incredibly grateful and humbled to have the support of these amazing artists who are at the top of their respective genres, and who share our passion of making a positive change in the world.”
