Known for keeping his family life out of the spotlight, it’s a refreshing change to see him connect with his wife in the battery powered black-and-white clip.

In the 1-min ad, a young man maintains a charged battery on his iPhone throughout the day using Powermat. After work, meeting a few friends for dinner, and finally making it to a club, the young man runs into Jay-Z. However, the two don’t share the friendliest of an exchange as the young man mistakes Jay’s iPhone for his and nearly answers “B’s” call. But Jay, being the boss that he is, gives the young’n one look and he knows to hand the phone over quick. The Throne rapper then answers Bey’s call and walks off.

Kanye West has been in Europe over the past few weeks, where he’s performed dates on his Watch the Throne Tour with Jay-Z, premiered his“Cruel Summer” short film in France and spent a lot of time with Kim Kardashian. But in early July, ‘Ye will finally be back in the States to perform two shows at Revel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Beyoncé helped launch the $2.4 billion casino and entertainment venue over Memorial Day weekend with three shows, and now Kanye will bring his star power to Revel in what’s being billed as his first solo show since performing at last year’s Coachella festival.

Despite the “solo” announcement, we’re hoping that doesn’t mean ‘Ye’s set will be free of features, as he’s gearing up to drop his G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, led by the single “Mercy,” featuring Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz.

Kanye will perform in Revel’s Ovation Hall, designed by Cirque du Soleil’s Scèno Plus, on July 6 and 7. Tickets will be on sale through Ticketmaster.com on Friday, beginning at 10 a.m.

Rap mogul Jay-Z is expanding his 40/40 Club in New York, inside of the Brooklyn Nets’ arena.

Jay-Z announced today that the 9,000 square-foot restaurant will open inside of the Barclay’s Center.

The 40/40 Club at Barclay’s will only be accessible to ticket-holders during a variety of events that will take place inside of Barclay’s Center.

The new venue will also only be open when there is a concert or sporting event at the Barclay’s Center, according to reports.

The new 40/40 Club in the Barclay’s Center is scheduled to open on September 28.

Jay-Z also has a deal with the Delaware North Corporation, to bring his 40/40 Club to airports around the country.

Lil Wayne and Supra have officially announced an official collaboration on a new line of shoes.

According to Supra parent company ONE Distribution, the footwear corporation will produce a design created by Wayne himself, “reflecting the various interests and inspirations of both parties.”

ONE Distribution’s Global Vice President of Brands Matt Fontana said in a statement, “Lil Wayne is a true style icon and a trendsetter. He’s perfectly suited for a collection with SUPRA because he embodies the same spirit that drives the brand: he’s a leader, not a follower. We’re ecstatic about creating a range of shoes with Lil Wayne.”

The collection will be previewed at the PROJECT Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nevada from August 20-22.

Iggy Azalea has signed to Wilhelmina International, Inc., a prominent model and celebrity agencies in the fashion industry.

According to a press release, Wilhelmina will “explore and develop endorsement, editorial and licensing opportunities” for the Australian rapstress. Notable entertainers signed to the company include Fergie,Estelle and Natasha Bedingfield.

“I’m very excited to be a part of Wilhelmina. I’ve always had an interest in fashion, so it’s an honor to be able to expand my brand further with the very best in the industry,” said Azalea in a statement.

The Grand Hustle signee is currently prepping the release of her debut album The New Classic, which is led by the single “Murda Bizness” featuring T.I.

The age of social media has allowed fans to develop a ‘personal’ connection with their favorite celebrities. In an effort to continue that connection, many celebrities, such as Nas, are allowing fans to experience their own lifestyles with new gadgets, products, and websites.

On Tuesday (June 12), he premiered his own lifestyle website titled,12 Society. Working in conjunction with other notables such as Nick Cannon, NBA players, Kevin Love and Blake Griffin, 12 Society lets fans of the Don experience a lifestyle that he describes as an extension of his music.

“It comes from music, it comes from me talking about certain kicks and sneakers I might like,” Nas told MTV News. “With 12 Society you don’t have to just listen to me talk about a certain shirt, you’ll get that. You’ll get that delivered to you.”

While 12 Society is a subscription-based website, membership is affordable for the average consumer. For $39 a month members will receive a shipment of items every month valued at minimum of $125.

“This is not about being a baller or nothing. What you’re receiving is worth way more than what you’re paying for,” Nas said. “This is for everybody; this is not for rich people. This is for everybody. It’s a cool thing.”

Hov has partnered with Duracell and Powermat as a spokesperson and investor for “Wireless Power Nation” a phone charging system to be installed in coffee shops, bars and tables, gyms, clubs, restaurants and other public venues across the US. Jay says he “believes in the future of wireless energy” and he believes that “Duracell Powermat is the company to bring on the revolution”. Recently Jay remodeled his New York City 40/40 sports bar flagship and has made the charging system available to patrons.

Wireless is literally wireless, and innovative is an understatement. This system allows you to charge your device by simply resting it on the power surface. Though the technologhy itself isn’t brand new, Duracell, long time battery brand, has definitely up’d the anti with this Wireless Power Nation initiative. Duracell Powermat CEO Ron Rabinowitz says that they’re working with Google Apps to display a Map of charging hotspots near your location in the near future.

Beyond the 40/40, the service is also available in the Chevrolet Volt. Duracell is hoping to increase the use in cars as they find a more cost effective way to produce the technology and the demand for convienience increases. Currently they a retailing an on-the-go 24 hour power system for $100 that favors an external battery.

The rap empresario has made a clean crossover into film with his action/documentary style film, “Get Rich or Die Trying” depicting his come-up in the business and his younger days as a street chemist.

In its initial $200 Million Dollar 10 picture partnership with Grindstone and Lionsgate films, Cheetah Vision has had several successful feature films beyond that and has included such A-List talents as Forest Whitaker and Robert DeNiro in “Freelancers” and Nicholas Cage and John Cusack in “The Frozen Ground”. As smart business men, they’ve decided to continue in their successful partnership and remain with Lionsgate Films for the new 10 picture deal.
